Your current checks can be used until you need to reorder. The routing and account numbers will remain the same. Current debit and credit cards can be used and will be replaced with the new design as they expire.

1. Why did we change our name?

Our name was too long to be easy to use in a digital world. OC is a shorter way to say OC Federal. We have the same mission to serve our members; we simply have a shorter name.

2. Will the credit union’s ownership or management change?

OC Federal is still a nonprofit federal credit union. Our management will not change, and our current Board of Directors will continue to oversee us.

4. Do I need to take any action to update my information?

You do not need to update cards or checks. As your cards expire, they will be replaced with new designs. Checks can be used until you are ready to reorder.

6. How will this affect online and mobile banking?

Online and mobile banking will operate the same. You will be automatically redirected to our new website from the old website to log in from a browser. We will give you the new website address once it is live on December 9 so you can add it to your website bookmarks. The app will operate the same but may prompt you to install an update.

7. Will there be changes to how I contact the credit union?

Phone numbers will not change. Online chat, messaging through the app, and online banking will remain on the website. Email addresses will change, but the ohiocatholicfcu.com addresses will work for a time.

8. Will my direct deposits and automatic payments be impacted?

Automatic transactions will continue as usual without interruptions.

Monday, December 9, 2024 is the official date.

15. Will I need to update any automatic bill payments or payroll deposits?

The process will be seamless as routing numbers will not change. You may inform relevant institutions of the name change, but your transactions will not be affected.

16. Will branch locations and ATMs change?

Branches will reflect the name change at Macedonia, Strongsville, Akron, and Canton. We will rebrand our headquarters in Garfield in 2025. ATM access will remain the same on CO-OP, MoneyPass and Alliance One networks, though you will see the name change.
